LABOR
LABOR is a useful concept because it clearly defines the goal, the rules, and the scoring mechanisms that constitute a sport.
It specifies precisely what one is trying to do, how difficult the effort will be, and how the quality of the execution is measured. The difficulty of a task spans past assessment, present experience, and future planning, whereas the actual physical execution of the LABOR occurs in the present and past. However, planning for future execution remains an intellectual part of the LABOR.
Essentially, LABOR is the combination of the specific task—the Route or Aktions—and the necessary tools to perform it. The total experience encompasses the task itself, the required equipment, and the final performance, whether executed during a competition, for an audience, or simply for oneself.
The Klimber inherently understands their objective, and it is within the framework of LABOR that the difficulty of the main task and its subtasks are fully described and understood.
